Dreams or Goals

The more you are trying to respond on what the Present is asking you for, the faster you will become the Past. The more proactive you are with uncertain Future, the more awesome is your Present.

I love setting up goals and mark their deadlines. There is always something that can be achieved every week, every month, every year and so on. In reality, there is always something to achieve every day – I like to learn something new every day. 

A day without new piece of knowledge, self-development or discovery is a wasted day.

It might be hard for someone to start setting up certain goals. Age is not relevant, maturity level is. I have met young 17-18 year old students with so clear vision in life and mature mindset that made me think “what did I do in my late teens?”. I also met people in their early to mid-thirties that had no glue what they were doing and wanted to with their life. 

You start with self-realisation first. Who you are – create your own self profile. 

What are you doing for living? What inspires you? What hobbies do you have? What are you good at..

Probably write it down – be generous with words. Be kind to yourself – you are much better and capable than you think. 

Do not be afraid to make your writing paper looking like a complete mess – as long as you understand what’s written and can extract relevant and key words out of there.

If you don’t like writing it, do digital notes. If you don’t record it somehow, it is just dreaming, not self-realisation.

Take your time. It is not one-off process. You might need to come back to it several times. 

I like to suggest this idea in my blog exactly right now as people are meant to have more time for themselves, their families, self-development and anything that was pretty hard to fit in with our dynamic world.

When your self-realisation sheet is completed, try to picture it on your perspective future – where do you see it fit in your life moving forward? 

Make the picture really colourful – use the colours that #inspire you , use your colour scheme. 

Let’s bring to this blog an imaginary person. Renee is an aspiring young artist. She loves art, she is naturally born talented person. Being a creative person, she sometimes has chaotic decisions that are lack of strategy. It is still ok, however, Renee dreams to become a well-known artist and make creations for living. Being a very adaptable and flexible, she is ready to learn something that would take her to the new level, however, she is very distracted from her dream working in a retail shop. The job that she is doing is not super exciting, however, keeps her being on the top of paying her rent and bills. 

Let’s return back to the colourful picture you draw. You see yourself, you have a bit of a blurry idea who you want to be and what inspires you. Next step – draw like a tree looking picture – what you need to bring you to your dream. 

  • New knowledge
  • New job
  • New resource of motivation or hobby to adapt
  • New abilities 

I can keep this list going but you know these items better for yourself. Once you find out them – you can be more specific. Let’s return to Renee.

Renee wants to be an artist. She needs to be recognised. Hmmm maybe use of social media, some digital platforms. Maybe she should get an agent. Where does she get an extra motivation that keeps you going after your retail shift? 

After a number of thoughts and self-realisation, Renee realised – she needs more connections, she needs to bring more motivation and learn how to get exposure on digital media.

Draw a tree – what can be done? 

Renee analysed that her physical art is valuable but only when she becomes a well-known and well-established artist. What to do and how to sustain yourself before that? How about to draw her creations on digital world. More and more people are asking for graphic designers – Renee started a course in digital marketing and graphic design and opened her own business that also inspires her to create more and keep up with her artistic motivation. Evaluate for yourself what steps you need to do to reach out your goals. Make your dreams to be your goals.

Japanese Diet by Angie

I am after easy and enjoable diets as I believe in a few things that I follow.

1) Life is too short – enjoy it! Food is an essitial part of it;

2) I used to limit myself with food – felt horrible, got sick often. You need a proper nutrition in life;

3) Anti-social behaviour – when you are on diet, you are trying to avoid going out with friends as they all eat what you have restricted yourslef.

There are more reasons – just a few in the top of my mind.

Since I had started my Japanese trip yesterday (yes, I am here again!), I would like to share my Japanese Diet that I had already unintentionally followed already. When I weight myself after Japan trip(s) for around 10 days, I am normally 2-3 kgs lighter and this all without much effort.

I am here for 14 days tis time so the result should be even better.

THREE MAIN INGREDIENTS TO INCLUDE:

  • Sushi (or preferably sashimi)
  • Green Tea (heaps – 2 litres a day is great)
  • Greens

FEW MINOR WARNINGS:

  • If you are a female, be careful eat TOO MUCH fish IF you are 1) pregnant or 2) about to get pregnant 0r 3) breastfeeding. Many sorts of fish contains mercury that can damage brain development of a baby. Not my words – check this dietitian out – Leslie Beck;
  • Avoid too much soy sauce. It goes together with sushi/sushimi – true story. But the less you can have it, the better for you. One of my next healthy article to be is about consumption salt over sugar (still in production). Long story short here, avoid sodium that is overpacked in soy sauce. From weight perspective, sodium will hold your body weight; from health prospective, it increases your blood pressure. If you have had some, follow up with green tea as it reduces sodium greatly;
  • Fish is great, but mix it up with other Japanese proteins – tofu is yummy, Japanese BBQ worth a million.

Raw fish gives you a lot of required nutrition for protein intake. Having rice in your diet, will give you enough carb energy boost without any saturated fats. Strive for brown rice though, it is healthier, more nutritious and clearly has a lower glycemic index. Finally, greens, go for special Japanese greens that has A LOT OF good items for your metabolic rate – seaweed salad, edamine beans. And sip green tea everywhere. That’s about it !

Of course, you need to try amazing dishes such as tempura, okonominoyaki, udon, ramen, etc. while you are in Japan. The dining here is outstanding and you definitely didn’t try this in any European restaurants that serves Japanese food. Moreover, they have much lesser preservatives that stops your metabolism. Treat yourself with it.

The whole idea of the diet is to eat clean, stay active (don’t be a boring tourist – get out of bus and explore on your feet) and consume solid amount of green tea that is everywhere in Japan (see my previous blog article about coffee and tea in Japan).

Script Writer – Life Creator

It is impressive how you can swim against the tides but still end up where you haven’t planned to be.
I believe that there are things that meant to happen regardless your will.
I believe that it still doesn’t let you to ignore the responsibility for your own life.
Imagine you are a script writer for a Hollywood film 🎞 – would you carelessly let a new movie script to be another fiction rubbish?
What if you are a film director of that rubbish – do you really want to sign your name off for that?
What if you are a producer of that film – you don’t want to invest your money in rubbish, do you?
Imagine you are writing ✍️ a script 📝 for your life – you don’t want this to be a rubbish.
When you have a pen and a paper to write up a script – go after your dreams there, not people.
Right sketch of your script will do its job for you and will cast the right people in your life.
Do not forget that you still hold that pen and paper – you can re-write it when needed. Also, keep in mind that some casts might want to leave your new creation as it’s not part of their plan. But it is the plan for your dreams – well, then you know what you do.
Get in and out – part of your life. Natural flow – the real beauty of life.
Blog is like a mini version of that script – you can create whatever you want and it will attract likes from right people.

EXTERNAL vs INTERNAL 💚

Big topic is about motivation. What makes you to look after yourself?

Think what type of motivation is actually dominant in you

Is it something internal? Or are you doing it to look good for someone ? How about a scenario when that someone is gone? Nothing and no one is permanent – that’s what I believe in. 🤷‍♀️ What are you going to do when your external motivator is no longer around – will you ruin what’s you worked for ?
It’s not selfish to be good for yourself, to choose health for your own lifestyle. 🍃

Someone might judge me now (perhaps, judging not just now – all the time) saying that it’s too much of self love here – well, if nothing is permanent, why then is it a selfish move to work on your internal motivation?

I’ve seen some of my friends in the past who made an effort to be liked by someone..guess the outcome..broken hearts, self hate, aggression and depression.

The way how you feel about yourself inside influences people like a magic stick; it’s proven, it works..

You need to check what type of motivation is dominant in you. I am not saying you need to just focus on your intrinsic motivation; however, make your passion and goals are independent from external influences.

It might be hard at the beginning and don’t expect it will happen straight away. It takes long months (some people require even longer) but the result will make you feel free in some ways.

I never wanted to be a strong person at some point of life..then I realised I wouldn’t achieve what I achieved without some strengths. When you are weak, people will hurt you and this is why you need to have some sort of self-spirit to take a bigger step towards you dreams.

I used this concept on my fitness journey and I am proud to have results I have. Why not to apply this to other aspects of your life? Happy to chat about this idea!

Do you know how to measure your workout results?

Normally, you need 6-8 weeks to see the outcome of your trainings and your progression within your goal (obviously, we all different so 6-8 can vary). Mine is around this time.

What about instant result? Do you know how many calories you have just burned? Was it that level of intensity you were looking for? 


Easy rules but worth to remind:

* You want to loose weight, you gotta burn more than you eat
* You want to maintain your current weight, just exercise approx. same as you burn and don’t eat crap
* You want to build muscle weight, push on strength trainings rather than running or cardio

It is easy to get confused how much you have eaten just now (i.e. “hidden calories”). Therefore, it is important to have some indication of the workout intensity. Heart radars – yes!

When we are little, we are often told “choose your words carefully” or something like “think and then say”, etc.


What a great piece of advice. I wish someone also said “choose your thoughts carefully”. Words are made of thoughts – if they are poisoned, guess what words you should expect coming out of your mouth?

Keep an open mind – open to yourself and others. There are not always great things happening; happiness and things that makes peace in your mind are important.
You can be beautiful, smart, educated, or have some sort of position in life. Does it really matter if you cannot transfer it into your thoughts?

I like to watch people. I like to go for a walk and watch them, sit in a restaurant or cafe and watch them, watch them when they have mixed feelings or have to make important decisions in life. When they don’t realised they are watched, this is the best way to see their thoughts..

Stay Hydrated 💦

For my blog I’ve been researching a lot about overeating (as we know, results consist from 80% nutrition and only 20% exercise)– mostly stress overeating as this is my personal problem. However, I found one more reason for it – dehydration. W

hen you are really hungry after a main meal – have a thought maybe it is because your body is dehydrated?

Good findings to take on:
💦 Stick to a hydration schedule – make sure you drink enough water at different times of a day


💦 The more water you drink, the less room you have for consuming calories

💦 If you really feel like chewing something, think about food contained water I e 🥒 🍉 🎃

💦 Don’t forget to add on electrolytes as water reduces level of sodium which is one of your nutrition elements
